Veteran Donation Drive

ASSE added a charitable aspect to its Leadership Conference in 2016. Help keep the tradition rolling with your donations.

From now through Oct. 10, ASSE is collecting donations for the 2017 Chicago area Winter Veteran Stand Down. Using the donations, attendees at the Society’s 2017 Leadership Conference will assemble snack and clothing packages for homeless veterans in the Chicagoland area.

This is an excellent opportunity for our member communities to support a great charitable cause. The best way for communities to participate is to donate gift cards (e.g., Visa, MasterCard) that ASSE will use to purchase supplies. Communities also can donate shelf-stable snack-size items (granola bars, jerky sticks, nuts, dried fruit, energy bars, trail mix, raisins, crackers) and/or undergarments and plain t-shirts (any size).

If your community has a meeting, networking event or other gathering in the next 3 weeks, please consider collecting donations to support this effort. Members of your community who attend the conference can drop off donations when they register on-site. Or, ASSE communities can send their donations to ASSE Chapter Services, 520 N. Northwest Highway, Park Ridge, IL 60068; ASSE will reimburse your community group for the shipping costs.

Please contact Chapter Services with questions.
